Om Tare Mantra

An Uplifting Mantra for Liberation

Green Tara is a revered Bodhisattva and goddess in Tibetan Buddhism, known as the Mother of Liberation.

Buddhism has three main traditions: Theravāda, Mahāyāna, and Vajrayāna (Tantra). In the first two, it was traditionally believed that one had to be born male to attain full enlightenment. But with the rise of Tantric Buddhism (Vajrayāna), Green Tara shattered that belief. She vowed to always incarnate in a female form, proving that the female body is just as powerful—if not the fastest—on the path to enlightenment. Through Tantric practices, she carved out a path for women to break through old limitations and claim their own spiritual awakening.

A mantra is a sacred chant—spoken or sung—that carries a vibrational frequency capable of shifting both your inner state and outer reality. "Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha" is the mantra of Green Tara. Chanting it calls upon her energy for protection, compassion, and swift action. This mantra is believed to remove obstacles, dissolve fear, and bring peace, courage, and healing. When chanted with intention, it aligns you with Green Tara’s boundless compassion and her commitment to uplifting all beings.

Whether in meditation, daily practice, or moments of uncertainty, invoking Green Tara through her mantra is a powerful reminder that liberation, wisdom, and strength are always within reach—no matter who you are.
